The company is building the future of financial operations for modern businesses.About the RoleAlaan is looking for a Full Stack Engineering Intern to join its Engineering team, with a strong focus on backend development.You will work alongside experienced engineers to build and improve production features using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, while gaining exposure to frontend technologies such as React.js and Next.js.This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how real-world products are designed, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained in a fast-paced startup environment.Key Responsibilities- Backend Development: Build and improve backend services and application logic using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.- API Development: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs across platform components.- Database Management: Work with SQL queries, relational databases, schemas, and data models.- Frontend Development: Contribute to frontend features using React.js and Next.js when required.- Debugging and Problem Solving: Investigate bugs, troubleshoot issues, and improve application reliability.- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and learn engineering best practices through code reviews.- Product Development: Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to take features from requirements to production.- Ownership and Learning: Take responsibility for smaller features and gradually tackle more complex engineering challenges.Eligibility and Requirements- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Target graduating batches: 2026 and 2027, as specified in the hiring announcement.- Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and programming fundamentals.- Hands-on exposure to Node.js through projects, coursework, internships, or personal development.- Familiarity with Express.js or NestJS.- Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend application development.- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.- Some exposure to React.js or Next.js.- Familiarity with Git and version control.- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, receiving feedback, and taking ownership.Previous internships, meaningful personal projects, open-source contributions, or experience building and deploying applications will be an advantage.What You'll Gain- Hands-on experience building production-grade fintech applications.- Opportunities to learn from experienced engineers in a growing technology company.- Ownership of real engineering features and practical problem-solving challenges.- Exposure to backend systems, APIs, databases, and modern frontend technologies.- A collaborative environment that encourages learning, accountability, and professional growth.- A competitive internship stipend.Job DetailsCompany: AlaanRole: Full Stack Engineering InternLocation: Bengaluru, IndiaWork Mode: Confirm with the employer; the role description mentions a flexible hybrid culture.Expected Stipend: ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month, subject to confirmation.Eligible Batches: 2026 and 2027, according to the hiring announcement.
