## About the RoleAXA XL is hiring a Data Engineer specializing in Databricks development to join its Global Data Platform team in Gurugram. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, developing data processing solutions and migrating legacy applications using Python, R, SQL and Databricks.**Location:** Gurugram, Haryana, India **Employment Type:** Full-time, Permanent **Department:** Data and AI **Team:** Global Data Platform## Responsibilities- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, R and SQL.- Build and optimize data processing solutions on Databricks.- Migrate legacy applications to modern data platforms.- Perform testing, debugging and performance optimization.- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality.- Support deployment and prepare technical documentation.- Collaborate with data engineering teams and business stakeholders.## Requirements- Excellent programming skills in Python and R.- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.- Hands-on experience with Databricks or other data platforms.- Understanding of data platform architecture and data pipelines.- Familiarity with Git, version control and DevOps practices.- Knowledge of software testing and continuous integration.## Preferred Skills- Apache Spark and PySpark.- Delta Lake.- Azure Data Platform and Azure DevOps.- Data Quality and DataOps.- Data governance principles.
