## About the RoleCisco is hiring a Software Engineer for its Silicon One Software team in Bangalore. The role focuses on developing software for advanced network processors, working with C++, Python and networking technologies to build scalable, high-performance networking solutions.**Location:** Bangalore, Karnataka, India **Work Mode:** Hybrid **Department:** Product and Engineering **Team:** Silicon One Software **Experience:** 0–1 Years## Responsibilities- Develop software for Cisco Silicon One network processors.- Build and customize software features for control and data planes.- Work with C++, Python and networking technologies.- Collaborate with hardware, architecture and software teams.- Debug, test and maintain software modules.- Support customer requirements and improve software quality.- Contribute to scalable, high-performance networking solutions.## Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 0–1 year of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in EE/CS.- Programming experience in C++ or Python.- Knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS and L2/L3.- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.- Analytical reasoning and debugging skills.- Familiarity with debugging tools such as GDB or PDB.## Preferred Skills- Cloud, data center or edge networking.- SAI and SONiC.- Network operating systems.- Development and testing of high-performance networking software.
