### About the RoleMcAfee is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to drive platform modernization, automation, cloud-native adoption, observability, and security initiatives. The role focuses on improving developer experience and building reliable, scalable infrastructure.**Location:** Bangalore, India **Experience:** 4–6 years **Employment Type:** Full-time **Work Mode:** Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week) **Department:** Engineering### Responsibilities- Participate in engineering standups, design reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.- Review architecture designs and code to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.- Troubleshoot production issues across applications, infrastructure, databases, and cloud platforms.- Implement monitoring, alerting, runbooks, failover strategies, and performance testing.- Improve platform adoption, developer experience, incident response, and service reliability.- Collaborate with engineering, SRE, release engineering, and security teams.### Requirements- 4–6 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.- Strong programming knowledge of Go and Python.- Experience debugging applications built with Node.js, TypeScript, Java, .NET, C++, or Dart/Flutter.- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Helm, and cloud-native architectures.- Knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.- Understanding of databases, distributed systems, networking, and cloud platforms.### Preferred Skills- Experience with GCP/GKE, API gateways, Kong, Envoy, and Istio.- Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Databricks, and advanced SQL.- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.- Familiarity with SonarQube, Dependabot, and JFrog.- Experience with performance testing tools such as K6, Locust, and JMeter.- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
